ALGYL®

ALGYL® combines the properties of three red macroalgae (Gigartina stellata, Kappahycus alvarezii, Corallina officinalis) with plant origin glycerin. It improves the efficiency of the skin barriers with intelligent ways of action. This marine mixture reinforces the outside-in barrier by consolidating the structural basis of the stratum corneum, specially through keratinocyte differentiation. It strengthens the inside-out barrier by increasing epidermal adhesion (action on desmosomes proteins) and the paracellular permeability (action on tight junctions components, notably claudins, occludin and cingulin). It improves the immune barrier and boosts the antioxidant defense so limiting barrier deterioration from environmental aggressions. Clinical studies show an improvement of skin cohesion and hydration and a decrease of TEWL. Recommended applications include facial treatments for dehydrated skin, specific daily care treatments for dry, damaged or mature skin and sun care and after-sun products. It is China compliant.
