AmviSense® S-DM-100 is a Dimethicone, which is also known as polydimethylsiloxane, a fluid mixture of fully methylated linear siloxane polymers end-blocked with trimethylsiloxy units. It is the simplest and oldest silicone polymer. Dimethicone and silicones exert a protective effect on the skin by forming a barrier that hinders the penetration of irritants and allergens, also helps to decrease trans epidermal water loss (TEWL).
