Aquaxtrem™ is an active fraction from the roots of rhubarb “Rheum rhaponticum L.”, in a medium of vegetal propanediol and water. It is standardized on the active ingredient identified in the in silico study, rhaponticin, as well as on the other total hydroxystilbenes of the plant. Rhaponticin increases the levels of filaggrin and involucrin strength and cohesion of the stratum corneum, barrier function improvement and recovery of proper skin moisturization. Preservative free active ingredient according to applicable cosmetic legislation. Aquaxtrem™ contains an action mechanism on keratinocytes through the activation of PPARγ to stimulate skin’s own moisturizing mechanisms.
