Salimix MCI is a preservative with broad spectrum activity. Composed of Methylchloroisothiazolinone (MCIT) and Methylisothiazolinone (MIT), this clear, liquid, water soluble preservative is an industrial grade version, but can still be used in personal care and cosmetics in the formulation of shampoos and many water-based products in a dosage level of 0.0015‐0.05% with a pH of 2.0 to 10.0.
