Actipomme is an upcycled apple extract made from apple pomace, the residue remaining after apple juice is pressed. Actipomme protects the skin against oxidative stress and UVB radiation. It also rejuvenates the skin by effectively inhibiting the formation of Advanced Glycation End-products (AGEs) while increasing the levels of genes or proteins associated with anti-aging such as HAS-2 and TGF-beta. Additionally, Actipomme decreases the mRNA expression of MMP-1, an enzyme known for its role in collagen degradation.
