Algae Extract is a complex of two species of algae. Most brown algae contain the pigment fucoxanthin, responsible for the distinctive greenish-brown color. Brown algae also contain fucoidan, a sulfated polysaccharide with an average of 20,000 molecular weight. This active compound is known for its anti-inflammatory activity.
