Annatto Oil

Annatto oil has a wide applicability in the cosmetic sector. The sun protection segment is greatly benefited by the use of annatto oil. Sunscreens can have an SPF booster effect by having the oil associated in their formulation; tanning lotions and oils use the pigmenting power of annatto to help with the bronze effect, in addition to guaranteeing skin protection against sunlight; and, moreover, due to its calming effects, annatto oil can be applied in after-sun care formulations, mainly to alleviate the effects of burnt skin and to recover its hydration.
