BELSIL® DMC 6031 is a copolymer of polydimethylsiloxane and organic glycol. It is ideally used in hair-fixative compositions, acting as a resin plasticizer, reducing brittleness and flaking of organic resins. In shampoos and shower gels, this silicone surfactant helps to stabilize the foam, confers mild conditioning benefits on hair and skin, and promotes formation of clear products. BELSIL® DMC 6031 has a density at 25°C of 1,03 g/cm³, a cloud point (1% solution in water) of 41-43, and a refractive index at 25°C of 1,452.
