C’ESTER CP is the fatty acid ester derived from cetyl alcohol and palmitic acid. It is a fully saturated, waxy-solid that is a non-aqueous emollient, skin conditioning agent, and occlusive film former. On skin, C’ESTER CP is lubricious and provides a soft, smooth appearance. It also imparts body to formulations, can improve the stability of emulsions, and is a binding agent for powders. C’ESTER CP has a required HLB of about 9-11.
