Corum 9607 is a hydrophilic, ethoxylated ester of olive oil glycerides. Olive is a crop originated from the Mediterranean Basin, and its oil is known to be one of the most healthy dietary oils. A unique polyphenol, called oleuropein, can be found exclusively in olive to impart pharmacological effects. Its rich vitamin E and polyphenol content are moisturizing and nourishing to skin and hair. Its moisturizing and refatting properties offer skin a pleasant feel even in cleansing formulations by lowering the irritation potential of anionic surfactant. Corum 9607 also serves as a solubilizing agent for essential oils and perfumes and can be used as a co-emulsifier for oil in water system.
