Saliguard® HDC is a paraben free, formaldehyde free preservative that offers broad spectrum activity. This low toxicity preservative is designed for effective protection against common bacterial species in leave-on and rinse-off cosmetics preparations. This product is globally approved, is non sensitizing and non irritating and has good compatibility with all types of surfactants as well as most cationic, nonionic and anionic systems. It is typically used at 0.75% to 1.5% as a stand alone preservative system or 0.3% to 1.0% when used with other preservatives in a wide pH range of 3 to 10.
